I did not take this adorable girl to the eye doctor on Friday.
She has not been having trouble with headaches which resulted in me wanting to have her eyes checked before we start school.
They did not have to dialate her pupils which made her vision blurry and light sensitive for the rest of the day.
I did not give her my big sunglasses to wear when we were outside!
She did not yell, "Mom, take a picture of me in the fish tank!!!" My kids don't yell in the doctor's office!
And, her eyes are not FINE!
Friday afternoon, we did not make our way down to Cincinnati so we could eat at
Benihana's. I did not set the GPS while on the phone, not realizing that it was taking us to the downtown location and not the location by the mall. That mistake did not cost us 25 minutes extra in the van.
When arriving at the downtown location, we did not find out that they do not open until dinner.
After finding the right location in the GPS, we did not have to drive another 25 minutes before we could eat our lunch.
I did not have 3 hungry kids and a hungry husband by this time.
Upon arriving at the right Benihana location, Jeremy did not go in and find out that they stopped serving lunch at 2:00pm.
It was not 2:01pm when he asked. And, they did not turn this hungry family away saying we had to wait until 5:00pm.
To pass the time, we did not go to the mall, get Auntie Anne's pretzels to tide us over until dinner and buy more silly bandz for the kids at church.
In the midst of the mall trip, I did not hear from the insurance adjuster about
our car. It was not bad news. Really, I did not need that news at all. I was not on the phone for an hour inside the mall talking to our agent, the adjuster, and the claims department only to find out that they made a decision about liability in the accident without ever getting the final report from the city with the traffic light sequence. I was not quite MAD. I did not call the city up myself, find out that the insurance had never even requested the information about the light in question and within 10 minutes get what I needed from the city engineer himself. I did not call up the insurance adjuster again, tell him that within 10 minutes I accomplished what he hadn't been able to do and then plead my case for another half hour only to probably loose it all anyway.
Grrrr....
After a trip to BassPro where my husband did not by another pair of hunting boots, we attempted to go to the restaurant again because it was almost 5:00pm. Try #3.
We did not arrive at the restaurant, wait outside and then read that they don't open at 5:00pm but at 5:30pm.
We did not have some CRAZY hungry girls by this time.
We did not leave the restaurant again and go get gas for the van and shop for silly bandz at hobby lobby.
On try #4, we did not finally make it to a table for our big birthday dinner for Jeremy.
It is not a new tradition because they offer
$30 off the birthday person's meal! We did not go last year for his birthday too.
Jeremy did not spend all $30, getting 2 different orders of
sushi and a meal. The first sushi was not called "The Las Vegas Roll". We don't eat things they say "Las Vegas".
These pictures were not all taken with my phone. I am better about bringing my camera with me on birthday celebration days than that!
I did not do a little bloggy, happy dance when I saw that my followers hit 200! I am not at all concerned about numbers nor do I care in the least about those kinds of things. Really, not me! (Fun! Thanks to you new readers!!)
We are also not starting school today! Nope, I would not make my girls start this early just so we can be sure to work in some GOOD breaks during the year.
After all that, what have YOU not been doing lately?
