A Goodwin Girls Vlog

Aren't they funny?

I love Abby yelling in the end. That is so her. Busy playing but ALWAYS paying attention!

I'm sure you don't have one of those at your house.

A Mother Daughter Vlog

So, my good blog friends, Lynnette and September, have been doing vlogs with their kids.

Now, their kids are older than mine, but I still thought it would be fun to include Elayna in a vlog.

Here we are talking about the blog, Daddy, things Mommy likes, homeschooling, having sisters and the most popular vlog topic of all... FOOD!

That actually was really fun... I may have to vlog again with the other girls.

We'll see how that works for me.

We Want to be HGTVd!

So, HGTV has a new show called HGTV'd. My mom called me this morning to tell me about how she was entering their basement space and how I needed to enter my kitchen.

Can we say that The Goodwin Family needs to be HGTV'd?

Seriously, after THIS post that fully showcases how small our kitchen really is...

No counter space, no cabinet space, a roll up dishwasher, horrible wallpaper, and a wall that must come down. among other issues...

But, I had to make a video. A VIDEO.

I was nervous just thinking about it! Now, some pictures and a blog post? no problem! But a video? Me?

There is a reason that I have only 1 vlog on this blog and why I needed to use my daughter to be in front of the camera in this Christmas video.

For a new kitchen, though, I was willing to put myself out there and make a video of our space.

We worked all day.

Lots of takes. Lots of nerves and yikes, quite a few breaks.

Many hours after starting, Jeremy had pieced it all together and we had a video!

At which point, I sat down to upload our day's work and Jeremy promptly took a nap.

He was sleeping and I knew he'd worked hard on the video so I failed to wake him up when I ran into uploading trouble.

Grrrr...

Our video file was too big. So, I used some nifty conversion software and had a usuable video.

The conversion changed the file format. I had to re-convert it.

I tried uploading. And, it didn't work.

By this time, I woke him for a little help. He helped and we had a video.

A video that I didn't watch fully before uploading. I was too ready to be done with the uploading process.

In my hurried state, I also mispelled the title of our video. Which I didn't notice until it was wayyyy toooo late.

Can it get worse? Really, things like this always happen to us. But, it makes our lives fun and interesting.

At least that is what I tell myself on days like today.

Yes, it got worse. As I watched our uploaded video, I realized that the conversion process had offset the voices from the video.

Head in hand and huge sigh...

I just had to laugh at myself. I would have noticed that if I'd watched it before uploading it.

Which I didn't do... I was in a hurry remember?

But, at the end of the day, we have an entry in HGTV's new series "HGTV'd" and yes, I want them to pick US! Would you visit that link and comment and tell HGTV how much our family would LOVE to have a new kitchen and how much YOU want us to have one? Thank you!!!

Here in Ohio, bring that semi-truck and help us fix our kitchen!

I uploaded a fixed version of the video to youtube just for your viewing pleasure.

So, will you go here and comment for us to win?

We are Stranded Without AN (not AND) Island!

We need to be HGTV'd!

Vlog - take 5

So, today, I am introducing myself... or my name rather...

I am a little nervous about posting this.

I can hear my brother-in-law laughing now.

Yep, before he even sees this video he will be laughing.

On another note, I do not like the sound of my voice. It seems to be quite recognizable and people can always tell when I come in the room. I was in Chickfila on Saturday and a friend of mine was over by the playroom.  She text me and said, "I thought I heard a Jenilee!"

She heard me before she saw me. Hmmm.

anyway...

While I hid upstairs in our bedroom from my girls, I made this for all of you... they were being a little too loud for my first vlogging adventure.

Name Vlog from Jenilee Goodwin on Vimeo.

Ah! There. It's posted and you know how to say my name.
