A Leafy Day

My girls love the leaves.

They can't wait for them to fall.

Leaves in the backyard mean hours and hours of play

The leaves made houses and forts and campsites and piles.

This Mom is thankful for something free creating so much imaginative and creative play

A sunny, fun, leafy day

And, you can find me blogging about True Joy over at Seeds of Faith today!

Alphabitty Moments - B is for Bike Rides

This Alphabitty Moment is...
B is for Bike Rides!

And, yes, this momma is learning to wear a helmet.

I'm actually wearing Jeremy's here and it is too big. New helmets coming to this family soon... yeah!

Abby is in the picture... can you find her?

Check out our new picture buttons on my right sidebar! There is one for family biking and it is where you will be able to quickly find all of our bike riding posts.

On another note... I'm blogging over at Seeds of Faith today with a post called "No Words". A reminder for us to run to God even if we don't have the words to voice how we feel or what we are going through. So, be sure to visit me over there too!

Now, Jeremy and I are off for a bike ride by ourselves while the girls visit with friends. Praying for no rain and a good bike ride as I get ready for my first charity ride this Saturday! more about that this weekend.

Oh! One more thing...

The winner of my book giveaway is Linda from The Joyful Journey!

I choose winners by random.org and when she was the winner I was excited because I actually got to see Linda at the homeschool convention last spring. Fun!

Whew! that was a full post with lots of little fun details... Enjoy your Thursday!

New Camera Fun

So, because of the awesomeness of our God and His great blessings, I am now the proud owner of a Canon Rebel T3i.

Never in my wildest dreams did I imagine I would actually own one of these cameras.

Seriously in shock.

Now that it is in my possession...

Oh. Dear. Betsy.

do I have a lot to learn!

I have been snapping all kinds of crazy pictures and so has Jeremy. I checked my SD card and found about 20 pictures he took of a piece of paper. Just to try different settings.

And, here is his "Jen, just read the manual" face.

Uhm. sure. I'll get right on that.

And he totally thought I was cute taking a picture of him while he was having the "read the manual" conversation with me.

(hunting season is soon upon us and yes, he is growing his winter beard)

So you know where I'll be the next couple weeks... watching youtube how to's, reading a very tiny printed manual, taking pictures and enduring a crash course in DSLR photography.

I am excited! Really excited to learn. But, wow, there is SO MUCH to know and remember!

Any tips for me?

My first post...

My first post is up on Seeds of Faith!

So excited!

I hope you will go visit me there today. I'm blogging about learning to Enjoy the Journey.

If you are visiting The Goodwin Family blog from Seeds of Faith, welcome!

It is nice to meet you. Feel free to say hello and look around a bit.

I am just getting home from about 48 hours of amazingly relaxing retreat time with my good friend, Stacey.

I will be blogging more about it soon!

Have a great Friday!
