Wednesday's Walk - Annalise and the Swing

When Annalise was almost 2 years old, she was fascinated with the swing.

Abby was just a few months old and was in the swing off and on throughout the day. But, I had to be in the room or Annalise would "play" with Abby and "push" her and it was not safe for either child.

On one particular day, Elayna was gone at school, Abby was in her swing and Annalise was playing dress-up.

I was videoing the younger girls and supervising while Annalise pushed Abby in the swing.

All was going well, until...





I dropped the camera pretty quick thinking for sure Annalise was going to be hurt.

That swing hit her hard!

But, my spunky Annalise turned around and smiled as if she planned it that way and it was very fun.

I remember thinking, "Well, I should have kept recording so that anyone watching the video would know she was okay!"

Over the years, we have watched this video many times and laughed. It is one of Annalise's favorite videos. Hey, it is one of MY favorite videos!

Now, she watches it and then looks at me with just about the same look as she did right after the swing hit her in the head.

A look that says, "That was totally cool, Mom."

So, go back, watch it again and laugh with us. It sounds way worse than it really was. She never even got a bruise!
